THE "STAR" FERRY

As a Hong Kong icon, the “Star” Ferry has been in operation for over a century. The ferry crossings of the "Star" Ferry at Victoria Harbour are acclaimed as an important part of the commuter system between the Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Not only it provides inexpensive and reliable services to the public, it also serves as a not-to-be-missed tourist attraction in Hong Kong. The National Geographic Traveler has named the "Star" Ferry ride as one of "50 places of a lifetime", and the ferry ride is also well known as one of the world's most value-for-money sightseeing trips.

The "Star" Ferry operates two inner harbour ferry services, Tsim Sha Tsui - Central and Tsim Sha Tsui - Wanchai under a franchise , in addition to a harbour tour service running an hour circular route covering the central Victoria Harbour. In November 2016, the Company launched World Star Water Tour Service, which plys beyond Victoria Harbour and brings tourists and locals to different destinations in Hong Kong's water via an unprecedented route with the latest generation smoke-free and environmentally friendly ferry. Subsequently, The company converted “Morning Star” and “Sliver Star”, which run daily service in Victoria Harbour, into low emission green ferries with an aim to foster the sustainable development of a green environment for Hong Kong.

The "Star" Ferry is working on various development projects designed to bring vibrancy to the Central Star Ferry Pier No. 7 and the reclaimed waterfront in Central.
